Aneta Cybula

Medical Doctor Graduate of the 1st Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University in Warsaw (WUM). She has been a lecturer since 1996. Works as a senior assistant at the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, and Hepatology at the Medical University in Warsaw. She obtained the title of a specialist in internal medicine in 1999, and thereafter, in 2005 she a further title of a specialist of infectious diseases. Dr. Aneta Cybula is a member of the Polish Society of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases, the Polish Association for Study of Liver and the Polish AIDS Society. In 2008, she defended with honours her doctoral thesis on drug resistance of HBV.

Dr. Aneta Cybula is the author of numerous scientific papers and chapters in academic text books in the field of infectious diseases. She runs lectures and training on infectious diseases for doctors of various specialisations. Her clinical practice involves diagnostics and treatment of Lyme disease, hepatitis of various etiology and the increasing problem of hepatic steatosis.

She follows global recommendations of scientific societies in treatments that she prescribes. Dr. Cybula has a gift of clearly explaining the most complicated issues concerning Lyme disease and other medical problems. She advocates prevention when it comes to infectious diseases, also those that are sexually transmitted.
